My Article Made it on Curly Nikki!

I believe the title says it all, but an article I sent to Curly Nikki (http://www.curlynikki.com/) made it on her website today! I often visit Nikki's site and I read the articles that she posts from other Naturals and a light bulb went off---I wanted to submit an article. I really didn't know if the tale of my second childbirth experience would be deemed newsworthy to her, but I thought it was worth a shot. I typed up an article, emailed it to her, and went on about my day. The next morning (which happened to be today) I got an email from Nikki saying she loved my account of my childbirth and she would be posting to her site today. I was very shocked and also impressed with her friendly and personable response was to my story. If you'd like to read the article, here's the link:  http://www.curlynikki.com/2011/10/childbirth-naturals-unnatural-approach.html

I think many of the readers took my article for what it was---a fun, light-hearted account of how child birth doesn't have to be unglamarous and a nightmare. True, I had a scheduled c-section, but I had decided to make my second delivery a different experience from my first delivery. Well, that's all I have for now. I'm trying to get a mobile application set up for my blog so that I will check in more often.

Here's my challenge for you today. Stop letting others afffect you. No matter what they say, your reaction is the most important part of the equation. You can make the choice to keep on doing you, despite how others might try to hinder you. At the end of the day, do their words and actions really matter? Do their opinions of you stop making the world go 'round? Do their opinions stop you from being able to be the beautiful person God made you to be? No! So stop giving these haters (for lack of a better word) the power. Take control of the situation and keep being the wonderful person you are! Be blessed!
